Kirsten French - Professional Experience
With 20 years of experience, Kirsten has a proven track record of working with clients to achieve their desired outcomes.
Her integrity and enthusiasm combines with a wealth of experience.
She understands the importance of keeping up-to-date with the latest health and well-being research and developments, which she incorporates into her training.
Whatever the goal, be it dropping weight, getting fitter, stronger, healthier, de-stressing, becoming more flexible or pain free, Kirsten supports her clients on their individual health journey.
Assisting with nutrition, activity levels, lifestyle and mind-set, she creates an integrated approach that will achieve the desired results in a positive and sustainable way.
Flexible training sessions
Kirsten previously worked out of Les Mills and post-Covid has repositioned her business.
She takes great pleasure in being able to offer a mobile training business, which includes home sessions, private gyms, corporate gyms (in the Auckland area), Zoom and phone sessions.
Zoom and phone sessions appeal to those who have limited time to train.
A lot can be achieved in the 30 minute zoom session!
Kirsten lives by and promotes the 'ANSWERS' principle she has developed:
Air
Getting out into fresh air, connecting with nature and unplugging from devices.
Nutrition
Nourishing our cells.
Sleep
Restoration, repair and recovery.
Water
Hydration is our #1 antidepressant.
Our bodies need 1 litre per 30kg of body weight to remain hydrated plus more for exercise and diuretics such as coffee.
Exercise
Fitness, strength, balance and coordination, we are made to move and be free in our body.
Rest
Creating time for ‘downtime’, planning quality, rejuvenating breaks.
Sun
Sunlight increases Vitamin D levels, boosts your immune system and cheers you up
Kirsten's story
We all have our own story, and Kirsten is no different.
Kirsten spent her early school years in Papua New Guinea and was fortunate to go on family holidays both in New Zealand and overseas.
Kirsten lost her brother to suicide in 1997, when he was 17 years old.
It has been an incredibly painful and tough journey for Kirsten, but this has provided her with a hunger for knowledge and an appetite to make a difference where she can.
Maximising health and well-being
Another experience that 'shaped' Kirsten was training for and winning The Worlds Body Shaping competition in 2000.
While she was told she looked incredible on stage, Kirsten learnt there was nothing healthy about the way she had to live to achieve this award.
This gave her great insight into maximising health and well-being not only for herself, but also for her clients.
Competitive and empathetic
In her early 20’s, Kirsten lived in South Carolina, worked on super-yachts, managed a resort on Harbour Island in the Bahamas and enjoyed scuba diving during her lunch breaks.
Kirsten loves nature and the outdoors.
She has always been competitive as well, as a ‘but why?’ person.
She thrives on learning and is committed to personal and professional development.
Through personal experience and during the very hard times, it was exercise, eating property and the support of family and friends that got her through
